NEETs Youth

“NEET youth” is a person aged 16 to 29 who is not in employment, education or training.

Source: Law No 76/2002 on unemployment insurance and employment stimulation, as amended and supplemented.

To be classified as NEET, participants must simultaneously meet the following criteria:

• they are aged between 16 and 24 inclusive;
• the age of the participant is calculated from the date of birth to the exact date of entry into the ESF/YEI funded operation;
• are not enrolled in education or training;
• are not in employment.

Through the work mediation activity we aim to establish compatibility or equivalence between the requirements of job vacancies, communicated by employers found in the database of the employment agencies, with the professional training, skills and options of the job applicant.
